A Lesson on LinkedIn

October 29, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm EDT

Let’s do a reset on how we approach and what we think about professional networking. Dr. Anna Stumpf will walk you through the “why” of LinkedIn and talk about professional networking, where it fits into the career field, and how you can maximize platforms like LinkedIn as a student to help you with your career in the long-term. Dr. Stumpf will also show you various ways in which to establish your personal brand and grow your network on LinkedIn.

Dr. Anna Stumpf has a diverse background; after ten years in management with Wal-Mart, she earned a Master of Arts in teaching then spent over eight years in the high school classrooms. She then transitioned by earning an MBA to teach undergraduate and graduate business courses for eight years, earned a doctorate in marketing, and now coordinates an online graduate degree program for The Center for Information and Communication Sciences at Ball State University. Anna has studied social media for over twelve years and believes that when used authentically, it can be one of the best ways to engage and build relationships and brand communities
